Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) displays Islam to Arab tribes..

One of the mKnow Prophet Mohammadethods that the Prophet adopted in order to convey His Message and Call was contacting directly the individuals and the groups. This was contrived on two tracks:

The first track: The Prophet moved from Mecca to Taef in the tenth year of the Prophetic Mission and after the death of Abu Taleb and dwelled there for ten days, wandering and calling people to embrace Islam and to worship the Holy God. However, they rejected his calls and stoned His holy head, so he returned of Mecca, without reaching any result in Taef.

The Second Track: The Prophet used to seize the chances on the religious and economic occasions in order to contact the groups that used to visit Mecca for religious (Hajj; Pilgrimage) or commercial reasons. Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) used to run religious conversations with them, highlighting the main concepts of Islam.

Abu Lahab used to Chase the Prophet

The Prophet (PBHU) used to seize any opportunity to contact the newcomers, especially during their meetings and events, in order to call them to embrace Islam. However, his uncle, Abu Lahab, used to ask the entrants not to respond to Him. People did abide by what Abu Lahab used to ask them to do, due to either their fear of Quraish or their prudence to preserve their economic interests in Mecca. Furthermore, accusing the Prophet of being insane by his uncle made people think His Call is baseless.

All these facts blocked the progress of the Prophet's Call; however, he kept hopeful and determined to achieve his aims.

What were the Prophet's goals?

1. Contacting directly the individuals and the groups helped the Prophet to display vividly the real image of Islam. This prepared the base for the people of Mecca to embrace Islam after the collapse of Quraish reign because they gad already acquired the Islamic values and concepts.

2. This direct contact also enabled the Prophet (OBUH) to be acquainted with the psychological and social conditions of the individuals and the groups in order to adopt the best methods to call on them to embrace Islam. This also helped Him to display his real character and to refute all the acts off defaming which targeted island and His noble personality.

3. Meeting the newcomers to Mecca also contributed to the pervasion of the Prophet's Call in the entire Arab Peninsula because the entrants used to convey all what they saw and knew in the Noble City to their towns and villages.

4. The Prophet's search for a regional and human base for His Call made Him contact the different Arab tribes. Mecca did not provide the Islamic Call with a safe haven where it can be operated freely. The prophet also used to immigrate fro Mecca to various cities for this reason before he met a group of people from al-Madina al-Munawara (Yathreb) that embraced Islam and formed the nucleus of the Islamic society. So this group showed readiness to support and protect the Prophet and his Call,  expressing allegiance to Him twice (First Pledge of al-Aqaba and Second Pledge of al-Aqaba).
