Hezbollah held on Monday a massive funeral for martyr Jihad Imad Mughniyeh, who embraced martyrdom in the Israeli air raid on Syria's city of Quneitra, in the southern suburb of Beirut.

After receiving condolences at the Sayyeda Zainab Hall in Ghobeiry, the head of Hezbollah Politburo, Sayyed Ibrahim Amin Sayyed, led the funeral prayers shared by a number of Hezbollah commanders and MPs.

Jihad Mughniyeh, the son of Martyr Commander Hajj Imad who was assassinated in Syria in 2008, was laid to rest in Rawdat Shahidayn cemetery on Monday afternoon; a day after a Zionist strike in Syria killed six Hezbollah fighters and an Iranian commander.

A massive crowd took part at the funeral and as the martyr’s coffin was carried through the streets of Dahiyeh.
