"March 14 Linked to Foreign Agenda, Doesn’t Want Best for Lebanon"

In an interview with Al-Manar Website, Loyalty to the Resistance Parliamentary Bloc MP Kamel Rifaei said that Lebanon will defend its own rights against Israel. He critisized the rejection of reducing prison year.

MP Kamel Refaei to Al-Manar Website:
Cabinet to Force Israeli Hand to Leave Lebanon;
Some Speeches assistant to Israel More than to cabinet;
International Community Biased… Lebanon Will Protect Rights;
Reducing the prison year fell for its malicious aspect;
Lebanon’s position in the Security Council is the least to be;
March 14 linked to foreign authorities… it doesn’t want the best for Lebanon

Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentary bloc member, Kamel Refaei believed Lebanon will take the necessary actions that would preserve its rights and prevent any aggression on its natural resources.

He pointed out that many messages were sent to the Zionist enemy in this context; the most important was that of Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah when he warned the enemy from seizing Lebanese rights.

In an exclusive interview with Al-Manar Website, Refaei stated that the government should benefit from those messages to become more forceful and oblige the international community to keep the Israeli hand off Lebanon and its rights.

He stressed the necessity to support the resistance and appreciate its power instead of “listening to speeches that assist the Israelis more than assisting the Lebanese cabinet.”

Refaei felt sorry for the disapproval on a bill that reduces the prison year in Lebanon to 9 months. He considered that “the issue is malicious because the team that made the proposal is suffering from marginalization.”

Reafei also pointed out that some have opposed the draft for they believed it was of a certain marginalized and deprived team.

MORE THAN A MESSAGE

MP Kamel Refaei confirmed to Al-Manar Website that the cabinet will transform the oil and maritime areas law – approved by the Parliament – into an executable file, so that international sides would be aware of the legal and practical steps that Lebanon has taken in order to defend its rights in the oil and gas.

While expressing belief that such procedures would lead to a conflict incase Israel attacks Lebanon’s natural resources, Refaei pointed out that “Lebanon will be waiting for the UN stance on this case, so that it takes after that the procedures that protect its rights and prevent such assaults on its resources.”

Answering a question on the possibility of bidding on the UN and the so-called International Community, MP Refaei stressed that “experience had proved that the International Community was always biased to Israel, even though it is always the aggressor.”

Refaei noted, however, that more than a message was sent to the enemy, the most important was that of Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah in his last speech on the fifth anniversary of the Divine Victory of July 2006, when he warned the enemy that if it continued aggressing Lebanon and grabbing its rights, the resistance will take its own position, as it has the power of deterrence.

Why The Bill Fell?

Regarding the disapproval of the draft on reducing the prison year, Refaei reassured that the bill should be passed, clarifying that this law is recognized in various countries in the world, and highlighting the miserable situation in the Lebanese prisons.

The Lebanese MP considered the voting against the bill had nothing to do with Lebanon’s interest, noting that the “Lebanese Forces”, “Development and Liberation”, and “Loyalty to the Resistance” blocs supported the draft bill.

While pointing that many members of the parliament have revealed their approval on the bill but broke their promises when it was set for voting, Refaei believed that “the reason why those sides took a stance against the bill was that they believed the bill was related to a certain marginalized and deprived group.”

“This bill is a kind of justice given by the international law and is internationally recognized. We wanted to keep up with what is going on in some countries. Yet, some parties refused because it was related to marginalized areas, which they don’t desire to give their people any rights,” Refaei said.

March 14 Indulged in US Project

Commenting on Lebanon’s stance in the UNSC regarding the Syrian situation, the Lebanese MP considered that this was the least to be done, for Syria give great assistance to Lebanon during the civil war and the Israeli aggression.

“Lebanon, should stand with the Syrian people, state and regime,” he said.

Refaei wasn’t surprised by March 14’s stance, “which is shameful and disgraceful and puts Lebanon in the face of international community.”

He further clarified that the March 14 team is linked to foreign parties and that it neither seeks welfare for Syria nor Lebanon, particularly after getting deeply indulged in the US project in the region.

“Lebanon should have taken a more significant stance against the UNSC statement, but the Lebanese structure required some compromises,” Refaei concluded.
