“I will destroy them harshly”

Martyr Imad Ahmad Saad

Imad Ahmad Saad was born on the 21st of February, 1982, to a modest and faithful family that was relatively poor and displaced.

Since youth the martyr’s innocent and calm character appeared, in addition to his good morals, generosity, and special passion for nature.

Imad dropped out of school after completing the intermediate level due to his family’s financial situation, and worked in a tailoring factory for two and a half years. Yet, he did not abandon education as he also started attending separate educational courses and workshops in various institutions.

Martyr Imad became religiously committed at a young age, and started performing all his duties toward Allah. He even memorized various supplications and had special passion to Sayyeda Zahraa and Imam Mahdi (as).

He was unique, confident, calm, dynamic, perceptive, mild, persuasive, serious, courageous, and quick-witted. In addition, he was known for taking initiatives and being able to fit in all the situations.

He had a friendly relation with his father and mother, and used to treat them with love and compassion. As for his brothers, he had a strong relation with them; he respected his older one, paid attention the smaller one, and took the initiative to assist them in any issue.

Imad was proud, generous, ready to present every sacrifice possible, and interested in communicating with everyone he knew.

Imad got married to the wife of a martyr, cared about the martyr’s children, gave them life and compassion, and protected them like he did with his own children later on. This made them get strongly attached to him and forget about being orphans.

In the Battlefield:

Martyr Imad went through educational and military courses and took part in various historic operations for the Islamic Resistance. He was then in control of firing missiles at Israeli warplanes, and he excelled in that. When he was asked about this courage he had he used to respond: “I will destroy them harshly.”

Imad took part in confronting the Israeli enemy’s aggression in July 2006. In his last phone call with his mother he told her that comfort had approached and asked her to be prepared and patient, and to rely on Allah.

During the war, and while Imad was delivering equipment to the resistance fighters in the battlefield, an Israeli reconnaissance plane spotted his team and so he was targeted and injured.

His injury was fatal. He died on the 19th of July, 2006.

Martyr Imad’s body was buried in the Southern village of Adsheet on the 29th of July, 2006.
