Our Great Martyrs...Hallmark of Victory: Hasan Qomati

"My master Imam Mahdi, you are the aspiration of a craving person... O master where are you?"

Hasan Mustapha Qomati

Hasan Mustapha Qomati was born along with his twin sister Batoul on the 12th of July, 1983 to a religiously committed family with his father being a Sheikh.

He lived with his family and studied in the southern suburb of Beirut and later majored in Accounting.

Hasan had a high sense of humor as well as an excellent spirituality. He became religiously committed since childhood and was deeply attached to the prophet, his household, and the infallible Imams (pbut), specifically to Imam Hussein (as) and Sayyeda Fatima Al-Zahraa (as).

Martyr Hasan was known for his wisdom and interest in serving people.

He joined the Al-Mahdi scouts since he was a child and then started working with the educational mobilization of Hezbollah.

In 2003, he moved to working in the field of jihad, so he took part in various military courses and operations, and revealed great courage.

In the battlefield:

Hasan was martyred on the 5th of August, 2006 in the Southern village of Wadi Slouqi  when he was performing his duty along with a group of resistance fighters.

An Israeli reconnaissance plane spotted the resistance fighters and bombarded the location they were in.

Some fighters who were with Hasan survived the strike. When they came back to look for him, they found him lying on a rock, alive, without his helmet and shield, and his left side was fully burned and injured.

He asked his friends to leave him where they found him, and died after that.

Hasan was buried on the 19th of August, 2006 in the “Rawdat Al-Shahidein” cemetery in the southern suburb of Beirut.
