State news agency, SANA, quoted a source in Homs province as saying that the Syrian forces repelled militants who were trying to  infiltrate across the Lebanese borders into Syria at different sites in Talkalakh area.

“Terrorist groups tried to cross the border and smuggle weapons carried on mules from al-Bireh town in Lebanon towards the Syrrian territories at the sites of al-Tahouneh, Halat, Edlin and Tabet al-Shahm,” the news agency said according to the source.

The source added that the authorities repelled the armed groups inflicting heavy losses upon them, noting that a number of militants fled back to the Lebanese territories.

Meanwhile, another infiltration attempt was thwarted, with Syrian forces clashing with armed groups west of Nasseeb border crossing on the Jordanian-Syrian borders.

SANA cited an official source who said that clashes left a number of terrorists dead.
The source named the dead as Ahmad Abdul-Aziz Zreikat, Anas Issam Oklah al-Mahameed, Abdul-Halim Ahmad Zreikat, Kassem Abdul-Aziz Zreikat and Mahmoud Ali Muhammad al-Zo'bi.

In Idleb and Deir Ezzour, Syrian forces chased armed groups, killing militants and seizing their weapons.
