Hezbollah FlagHezbollah denied on Tuesday that it had anything to do with accusations that it was responsible for the incident occurred against Lebanese MP Butros Harb.

“Although our policy requires not to comment on many of the fabrications and allegations against Hezbollah and its leaders and cadres in recent times; but given the insistence of MP Butros Harb and some March 14 parties to accuse Hezbollah randomly, as usual, without basing on any proof and to sentence equivocal judges even before the investigation ends, we strongly deny that Hezbollah, its officials and members had anything to do with the so-called assassination attempt against MP Harb,” said a statement issued by Hezbollah Media Relations.

Hezbollah however, called on officials to halt the “obnoxious political maneuvers and the false allegations that we have grown used to, particularly during the past few years.”

Harb escaped an assassination attempt early July, when three people tried to plant a booby trap inside the elevator of the building where his office is located in Sami Solh.
