Iran congratulated the Palestinian resistance and people for their victory against the Zionist entity, criticizing Arab and international silence.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast congratulated the Palestinian resistance’s victory against Israel, and criticized “the silence of international institutions and support of the Western governments for the criminal actions of Israel.”
As he noted that “the Palestinians' victory over the Zionist regime means the end of that regime's aggressions,” he demanded “the immediate removal of Gaza siege which has isolated it from the world.”
“Muslim countries should be vigilant towards the divisive plots of the Zionist regime and protect their unity,” Mehmanparast added.
In parallel, Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili warned on Thursday Israel and the US over repeating similar attacks on Palestinians in the future.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran congratulates the oppressed people of Palestine on their victory over the Zionist regime in the eight day war and calls on all the resistance groups to vigorously pursue the demands of the people with unity and reliance on resistance as the only way to liberate their territories from Israeli occupation,' IRNA quoted Jalili as saying.
After the Zionist entity which was defeated in the 33 days war (July 2006 war against Lebanon) and 22 days war (2008/2009 war against Gaza), suffered a defeat after eight days, and this refers to its increasing weakness, and in cotrst to the increasing power of the resistance,”” he added.
Jalili further urged in a statement “the Muslim countries to play their role to help liberate the Holy Al-Qods by taking effective measures.”
