Military sources told Reuters that the Egyptian armed forces will suspend the Constitution and dissolve the parliament that is dominated by the Muslim Brotherhood if the parties do not reach an agreement by Wednesday, according to military roadmap to end the crisis.
The draft states that a transitional council will take power untill amending the constitution and calling for presidential elections, according to Reuters.
Reuters added that the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces is still studying the details of the plan which is set to end the crisis, and that further amendments on the plan may be adopted.
"The military roadmap needs the approval of the opposition and other forces to be carried out," the military sources were quoted by Reuters.
On the other hand, Freedom and Justice party called on its proponents to resist the military coup that aims at returning Egypt to the era of dictatorship.
