Cyprus ex-defense minister Costas Papacostas and three fire chiefs were on Tuesday found guilty of negligence linked to the deaths of 13 people in a munitions dump explosion almost two years ago.
Papacostas was also found guilty of the more serious charge of manslaughter, which carries a maximum sentence of life in prison. Ex-foreign minister Marcos Kyprianou and army deputy commander Savvas Argyrou were found not guilty on all charges.
