Two people have been killed and six injured when militants in the remote village of Sadr El-Heytan, located in the center of North Sinai province, on Tuesday shelled a police base with mortar rounds and fired heavy machine guns in an ongoing attack.
Hours earlier, militants opened fire on the base belonging to the Central Security Forces near the border town of Rafah and clashed with security forces.
On Sunday, a section of an Egyptian pipeline supplying gas to the Zionist entity and Jordan was blown up in the Lehfin area south of the city of al-Arish in the Sinai Peninsula.
