Egypt opened Wednesday Rafah crossing for several hours to facilitate the Palestinian movement from Gaza to Egypt and vice versa.

Egypt opened Wednesday Rafah crossing for several hours to  facilitate the Palestinian movement from Gaza to Egypt and vice versa. 

 
The Egyptian authorities ordered Friday the closure of the crossing after ousting President Mohammad Mursi amid wide protests.

Palestinian officials in Gaza mentioned that the crossing was opened for several hours to enable the Palestinians to return from Egypt to Gaza or to leave Gaza via the crossing for medical purposes.

Rafah crossing gains its vital position since it is the only link (away from the Israeli control) that connects Gaza with Egypt and the world politically and economically.
