Egypt had announced two weeks ago that new conditions will be provided for Syrians to get the visa after local media outlets accused some Syrian of participating in the bloody clashes that took place between supporters of the ousted Egyptian President Mohammad Mursi, and the Egyptian army in the vicinity of the Republican Guard hwadquarters in Cairo.

The decision caused several planes loaded with Syrians to return to their country again, noting that they didn't need more than a passport to enter Egypt.

The Egyptian authorities had informed the airlines not to transfer Syrian flights to Egypt, only after obtaining prior entry visas and security approval from the Egyptian embassies and consulates abroad.

According to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees stated that the Egyptian authorities returned the planes carrying hundreds of Syrians after tightening the procedures for obtaining a visa to Egypt.
