During a local Iftar banquet in the southern town of Jbaa, MP Raad said: “this is not a challenge. Everyone knows that we are a main representative of the Lebanese people. We and our allies are to take part in the coming government.”

In this context he assured: “Any government that will exclude us won’t see the light.”

“Our opponents are preparing plots against us because we have foiled in a short time all the schemes which they were planning for the region starting from Lebanon.”

MP Raad said that the “resistance has defeated the Israeli enemy, an achievement that Arab armies failed to secure.”

“Since that time the opponents have been inciting sedition in a bid to topple the resistance and weaken its position,” he added.

However, he stressed that these bids won’t work and “they will not force us to change our choices.”

Commenting over the European Union’s decision to blacklist Hezbollah, Raad said it was a terrorist message and not a political one, noting that the regional bloc was desperate after all its plots against the resistance have failed.
