The meeting focused on the Arab and international efforts to reach a peaceful settlement in the occupied Palestine on the basis of a two-state solution, according to the Arab peace initiative, leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
Repercussions of the Syrian crisis were also on agenda during the Arab meeting.
Abdullah stressed the need for a comprehensive political solution to the Syrian crisis and for an end to the suffering of the Syrian people.
Jordan's king visited Egypt on July 20. The monarch had been among the first leaders to congratulate Egyptians after the army overthrew Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohammad Mursi following mass protests calling for him to resign.
