Lebanese President Michel Sleiman called upon the army chief Gen. John Qahwaji to cooperate with the United Nations Interim Forces In Lebanon (UNIFIL) in order to expand the ongoing investigations regarding the latest Zionist violation of the Lebanese sovereignty.
Sleiman urged the concerned parties to add the full-detail investigation results to Lebanon's complain to be submitted to the UN Security Council.
An elite Zionist unit, Metkal, infiltrated 400-500 meters into the Lebanese southern territories at dawn on Wednesday, breaching the 1701 resolution.
A landmine was exploded in the scene and four of the enemy troops were wounded, one of them in critical condition.
United Nations Secretary General spokesman, Martin Nsirki, underlined on Thursday that "Beirut insists to consider the Israeli soldiers infiltration into Lebanon a violation of Security Council resolution 1701, which prohibits the spread of any armed forces except for the Lebanese regular army in the south of the country."
"An investigation team arrived at the scene and peacekeepers of the United Nations in southern Lebanon began to investigate the breaching of Blue Line by the Israeli soldiers," Nsirki added.
The Zionist army has recently paved a new way at the border with Lebanon in an attempt to terrorize citizens and spread panic among them.
Since the 2006 July war on Lebanon, the Zionist entity has spared no chance to violate the Lebanese sovereignty in flagrant breaching of the UN resolution 1701.
