It was Tuesday midnight when an Israeli commando force which belongs to one of the elite army teams advanced towards the border fence with Lebanon and prepared itself to cross the borders in 20 minutes, according to Al-Akhbar newspaper.
"The enemy troops crossed a narrow way to escape the UN and the Lebanese army posts in the region; they crossed 1000 meters within few minutes before two explosives filled with iron balls were detonated Wednesday at 00:40," Al-Akhbar mentioned, "The explosion was enough to hit everything within a 30-meter-diameter circle."
"The well-trained enemy soldiers deployed in the area expecting an ambush at any time. Yet when shooting occurred, the Israeli force was ripped before other Israeli military groups intervened to save the ambushed force," the Lebanese daily's confirmed, "The military leadership decided to withdraw all the Israeli troops before removing the traces of the confront, shunning more losses,"
"After around 4 hours, the battlefield was deserted; the UN troops did not move yet called the Israelis who belittled what happened and attributed it to fireworks," Al-Akhbar clarified, "The Lebanese army later moved without finding any effect of the confront," it stressed, "The remnants of the iron balls and blood spots were seen to conclude that the Israeli army violated the 400-meter depth of the Lebanese territories."
"It seems that the Israeli army intended to carry out a military action with a security background," the paper deduced.
"The Zionist entity imposed a strict censorship on revealing any further data about the event other than that four soldiers were wounded, entitling PM Benjamin Netanyahu and his minister of defense Moshe Yaalon to speak regarding the event," the paper added, "This secrecy shows the Israeli tendency to hide the intelligence scandal and the military failure that hit the Zionist army, knowing that the Resistance did not reveal the full details of the operation."
The Lebanese daily further considered that there are a number of questions that the Israelis have to raise:
1. How did Hezbollah know about the Israeli mission? How did he dare to ambush in that region? How did he carry out the operation and withdraw without being noticed by the Zionist soldiers?
2. How did Hezbollah carry out the operation despite the Syrian crisis and all the political pressures that are exerted on the party?
3. How will the Europeans comment on the enemy's violation? Will they condemn the ambush because it was carried out by a "terrorist group" according to their classification?
The Lebanese newspaper pointed out that March 14 coalition will not condemn the Israeli aggression, and even some of its insane figures may condemn the Lebanese side for violating the International Resolution 1701.
"Only the southerners who moved at night to the roofs of their houses to witness the enemy's defeat, will remember the Resistance fighters who left their families to protect their land and honor," Al-Akhbar concluded.
