Imam Khamenei: Settlement Will Augment Oppression against Palestinians

Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei considered, during Eid al-Fitr sermon, that the settlement negotiations between the Palestinian Authority and the Zionist entity will lead to increased oppression against the Palestinian people.

"The settlement negotiations that are mediated by the U.S. which supports the Zionists will increase the oppression of the Palestinian people," his eminence said, at Tehran University courtyard.

Commenting on the latest developments in Egypt, Imam Sayyed Khamenei considered that the political crisis there after the army ousted Islamist president Mohammad Mursi could spark a civil war.

"We are worried about what is happening in Egypt."

The Leader also warned against foreign interference in Egypt, saying: "Nothing but damage for the Egyptian people will come from the interference of foreign powers."

Iran's supreme leader strongly condemned political violence in Egypt, and called on its religious and political parties to learn from the lessons of Syria.

Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei stressed that those who are stirring anarchy inIraq are blind terrorist and backed by regional and international powers.
