It added that Salehi expressed, during the phone call, his hope that relations between the two countries continue on the same track, in order to remove the obstacles and pave the way for closer relations between the two neighboring countries.
For his part, UAE Foreign Minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, hoped that bilateral relations between the two countries would develop and prosper under the role of new Iranian President Sheikh Hasan Rouhani and his government.
According to Mehr, the two parts also tackled the Egyptian and Syrian crises, as well as the situation of the Iranian citizens living in UAE.
In another context, the Iranian foreign minister stated that a new memorandum of understanding will be signed between the Islamic Republic and Russia, to inaugurate a new nuclear reactor in the country.
Mehr news agency quoted Salehi as saying that Russia was arranging for a memorandum of understanding upon which it undertakes building a new nuclear reactor in the country.
Salehi further indicated that nuclear power is important for electricity, radiology, and several peaceful purposes.
