Caretaker Minister of Defense, Fayez Ghoson, announced that army intelligence arrested a Syrian person involved in Bir al-Abed blast.

Caretaker Minister of Defense, Fayez Ghoson, announced that the car bomb that had exploded in Bir al-Abed last month was of "KIA" brand and was stolen and processed by gunmen in Khaldah the night of the crime, noting that army intelligence arrested a Syrian person involved in Bir al-Abed blast.

"Army intelligence has reached main threads to disclose the issue of firing two rockets on Dahiyeh last May and has been detecting one of the involved," Ghoson stated in a statement.

Ghoson pointed out that army intelligence has arrested Hassan Hussein Rayed who carried out, together with Omar Ahmad al-Atrash and others, a number of terrorist attacks in the recent months.

Ghoson clarified that Omar and Sami al-Atrash, together with 4 Syrians, killed 4 youths in Bekaa last June.

"Al-Atrash is involved in blasting a civil car and an army patrol July 2013," Ghoson asserted.
