Lebanese Information Branch blocked on Wednesday a Mercedes truck coming from Syria in Ras Baalbek neighborhood in East Lebanon.

The truck has a Lebanese panel and was driven by Fadi Hussein Ghazi from Wadi Khaled northern region.

The vehicle was loaded with 10 107-mm rockets hidden among its cargo.

The Information Branch confiscated the truck and opened investigation.

Lebanon has for long disassociate itself from the Syrian crisis erupted in mid March 2011. However, militants locating in the north of the country try to drag Lebanon to the regional conflict by smuggling weapons and gunmen into and from Syria.
