Iran President Hassan Rouhani condemned the use of chemical weapons in Syria and considered the international community responsible for banning them in the world.
"Iran, as a victim of chemical weapons, advises the international community to abandon the use of chemical weapons anywhere, particularly in Syria," Rouhani said.
"A large number of innocent people have been killed or wounded in the recent chemical attack in Syria," he added, expressing regret over the current situation in the region.
Rouhani made the remarks after he and his cabinet members attended the mausoleum of the late Imam Khomeini in downtown Tehran to renew allegiance to the Founder of the Islamic Republic.
