Russian Foreign Ministry stated Thursday that the recent bombings which rocked Iraq is linked to external parties, including Syrian armed groups, a statement issued by the FM said.
"It is clear that the recent bombings (in Iraq) are relevant to the support from abroad, especially from armed groups active in Syria," it added.
"This is another proof that the conflict in Syria has acquired the cross-border character, and that the more instability in this country will not only lead to the deterioration of the situation in the neighboring countries, but in the entire region as well," the statement read.
It is noteworthy that the number of victims of the bombings in Baghdad and other Iraqi cities on Wednesday upped to at least 60, with around 300 others injured.
