US President Barack Obama said Saturday that he seeks a congressional authorization to launch a limited strike against Syria, asserting that the military action against Damascus will not be an open-ended war.
"I will seek authorization for the use of force from the American people's representatives in Congress," Obama said.
"I have the authority to strike Syria tomorrow, in a week or in a month," he added
Obama mentioned that he respects those who voiced concerns over striking Syria, yet considered the British parliament failed to take the suitable decision.
