Lebanon Charges 3 People for Firing Rocket on Occupied Palestine

The military prosecutor on Monday charged three people with launching four rockets from South Lebanon into Occupied Palestine last month.

Lebanon: southern border with Occupied PalestineThe military prosecutor on Monday charged three people with launching four rockets from South Lebanon into Occupied Palestine last month, state-run National News Agency reported.

Judge Sakr Sakr charged the two Lebanese Youssef Fleiti and Mohammad al-Atrash with illegally transporting the homemade rockets from the northeastern Bekaa Valley to a village near the southern city of Tyr from where they were fired on August 22, Lebanon's NNA said.

The two men were arrested on Saturday. A third suspect who remains at large was charged in abstentia.

The attack, which caused only material damage, was claimed by a group that calls itself 'Abdullah Azzam Brigades.'

The Zionist entity, in a bizarre reaction to the rocket fire, launched airstrikes the following against a valley south of Beirut near facilities run by the left-wing Palestinian Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).

The airstrike missed the PFLP's facilities. The group, which is ideologically opposed to 'Abdullah Azzam Brigades', said it had nothing to do with the August 22 rocket attacks and could not understand why the Zionist warplanes would target it.
