Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei has rejected the resignation of Intelligence Minister Heidar Moslehi, reinstating him to the position.
Moslehi tendered his resignation on Sunday, but no reason was initially given for his decision, Fars News Agency reported.
Shortly after his resignation, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad accepted the resignation and appointed him as the presidential advisor in intelligence affairs without naming a caretaker for the ministry.
Moslehi has been a close aide to Ahmadinejad and has served as Iran's intelligence minister since 2009.
