The UK has eased its recently tightened travel advice for Lebanon, a statement from the British embassy in Beirut said on Wednesday.

“We are no longer advising against all but essential travel to Lebanon,” the statement said.

“However, we continue to advise against travel to some areas in Lebanon.”

London advised its citizens last month against all but essential travel to Lebanon due to regional tensions linked to the Syrian conflict.
