The Lebanese caretaker Energy Minister Gibran Bassil called on Friday in a press conference for controlling the Syrian refugees’ influx to Lebanon which is threatening the Lebanese entity.

"The number of Syrian refugees who are officially registered has reached 1 million and 300 thousand," Bassil warned.

He said that there were between 220 and 230.000 Lebanese threatened of unemployment due to the massive displacement, which has become perilous to the security of the country.

Bassil asserted that demanding international aids to relieve the Syrian refugees leads to integrate them with the Lebanese.

"The crisis of displacement in Syria is the largest one that threatens the Lebanese entity," Bassil said, calling on the government to stop receiving refugees except in extraordinary cases when they need medical care.
