The Military Investigative judge Fadi Sawan issued an arrest warrant against the Syrian dissident colonel Ahmad Amer after questioning him over an offense of forming an armed gang to carry put terrorist acts in Lebanon.

The Military Investigative judge Fadi Sawan issued an arrest warrant against the Syrian dissident colonel Ahmad Amer after questioning him over an offense of forming an armed gang to carry put terrorist acts in Lebanon.

The judge referred the Syrian dissident colonel to the military prosecution to complete the investigation.

A judicial source said that arrest Amer happened in the port of Tripoli, while he was returning from Turkey, where he met with officials from the Syrian opposition.

The Lebanese North has been saved from a terrorist scenario as the General Security arrested a  gang which had aimed at carrying out assassination and detonation operations.
