The political analyst Nahed Hattar said on a visit to al-Manar Website that the chemical agreement between Russia and the United states was the facade to a comprehensive settlement in the Middle East.
The chemical agreement was the interface of achieving a political solution for the Syrian crisis, granting the Syrian army the 'green light' to eliminate the terrorist groups, reaching a diplomatic solution for the Iranian nuclear program and ending many other related disputes.
The Jordanian political analyst considered that the core of the agreement was that the West acknowledged the legitimacy of the Syrian government regardless of all the political mottoes that used to be raised before the agreement.
Ruling out Holding Geneva II
Nahed Hattar, who met President Bashar Assad two days ago, also ruled out holding Geneva II conference on Syria.
Hattar attributed this conclusion to the impossibility of representing the opposition as its factions have dissolved before joining either the Syrian army or the extremist groups.
Hezbollah Ranked Major Power in the Region
Addressing al-Manar staff, the political activist in the Jordanian national movement considered that Hezbollah is now ranked a major power in the region, pointing out that Russia, Iran, Syria and Hezbollah are the main regional powers that can impose their policies in the Middle East.
Hattar praised Hezbollah for his ability to identify the destiny of the region despite representing a mere segment of the Lebanese.
Hattar called on all the Lebanese to stick to their resistance to protect all the national interests, including the gas and oil resources.
Strategic Position of the Zionist Entity Diminishes
Nahed Hattar hinted to the fact that the Israeli officials learned about the Russian-American accord on Syria via the media outlets.
"John Kerry informed the Israeli officials about the agreement after three days."
Saudi Policy Aims at Imposing Wahhabism
The Saudi policy in the region is centered on shedding blood in an attempt to attain field achievements, according to Hattar.
"The Saudis are trying to impede the settlement."
Hattar also pointed out that Filtman's recent statements assert the change of the American attitude towards Saudi Arabia.
"Political Islam" in Egypt Fell down
The Jordanian analyst emphasized that the Egyptians reject all the political parties that utilize the religion to reach political aims.
"Muslim Brotherhood failed to rule Egypt due to its political abuse and affiliation to the foreign powers."
Jordan's Interest Lies in Assad's Survival
Regarding the situation in Jordan, Hattar said that there is a new trend to restore the relations with Syria and Iran.
"The downfall of the Syrian regime will lead the Jordanian to the same destiny," he added, " Then, Jordan will suffer form a wide case of anarchy and violence, as in Libya and Iraq."
