Syria Premier Pays Inspection Tour to Several Service Foundations

The Syrian Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi on Tuesday inspected the services and the work at Damascus International Airport, according to SANA.

The Syrian Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi on Tuesday inspected the services and the work at Damascus International Airport, according to SANA.

Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi inspected the work and shalqiervices at Damascus International Airport, Tishrin power plant and Educational Compound in Kudsaya suburb in Damascus Countryside.

In a statement to the journalists, al-Halqi pointed out to the increase of the number of passengers from and to Syria through land and air ports compared to what it was in the beginning of the crisis in Syria, adding that Damascus International Airport continues to provide its services to the passengers.

He pointed out that the reconstruction of passenger hall at the airport is in progress with national companies' efforts, denying all news broadcast by the hostile channels regarding closing  airport traffic or the road leading to the Airport.

The Premier said that Tishrin power plant is one of the biggest compounds in Syria that provides 5 provinces with electricity as it generates 1,100 MW, hailing the readiness of the station's employees.

He pointed out to the exerted efforts to continue the project of Tishrin thermal station to generate 400 MW, adding that Syria continues in its political, economic and social life and derives its steadfastness from its people, leadership and army.

Al-Halqi affirmed that the educational compound in Kudsaya is the fruit of tremendous efforts between the government and the civil community, pointing out that the compound is the first one to host the affected families, particularly those who come from Lebanon. 

At the end of his tour, Dr. al-Halqi presented his congratulations on the Eid and asserted that Syria is approaching victory.
