Iran’s Supreme Leader says wave of Islamic awakening in region will bear fruit without doubt
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei said on Saturday that the wave of Islamic Awakening in the region will bear fruit without a doubt.
“Today, thanks to Islam and the Islamic Revolution, public Islamic awakening has taken place in the region and will definitely bear fruit just as it has already happened in certain areas,” Sayyed Khamenei said in an address to Fars Province citizens.
According to Sayyed Khamenei, the future of these regional movements would benefit regional nations. His eminence urged regional countries to remain vigilant as the enemy wants to derail their movements.
Ayatollah Khamenei said that the US, Europe and Israel were surprised by the recent regional developments. “All the efforts of arrogant powers is aimed at taking control of regional developments but this Islamic awakening is never-ending and this forward move is irreversible,” the Islamic Revolution’s leader stressed.
Sayyed Khamenei rejected allegations of Iran's interference in regional affairs as “baseless” and said Iran has only expressed its position without interfering in the internal affairs of regional countries. “Because the Islamic Republic of Iran has adopted a rightful stance and has explicitly announced it, Western powers have focused their propaganda campaigns on Iran,” his eminence added.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran, contrary to what arrogant powers want, is not an indifferent spectator with regards to regional developments and the Iranian nation, government and political elite will not just observe such oppressive measures by arrogant powers.”
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has and will not be frightened by the frowning of phony powers and will show no concern for them,” Ayatollah Khamenei added.
The Supreme Leader said Western powers are unforgivable culprits guilty of oppressing the people. His eminence said that the US and the West oppress the people of the region for the sake of Israel.
While noting that the people of Bahrain have suffered the most oppression in the current developments in the region, Sayyed Khamenei warned that the government crackdown on Bahraini protesters would only further infuriate them, adding that those who sent forces to Bahrain have made a mistake.
