Russian deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said a trilateral meeting between his country, the United States and the United Nations may be held early next month in preparation for the Geneva II on Syria.
"We are ready to attend and show flexibility when the other participants reach a consensus on this matter. It is possible to hold the meeting in early November," Gatilov told Interfax news agency Friday, Russia Today reported.
Gatilov indicated that diplomatic moves are taken to coordinate the possible meeting in preparation for the Geneva II conference, stressing that the primary task is not setting a certain date for the meeting, but to reach an understanding on how to hold the conference and represent the government and the opposition in it.
