Four people have sustained injuries in an explosion at the military intelligence building in the city of Ismailia in Egypt's Sinai region, state broadcaster Nile TV reported.

Attacks on security forces have increased in the region following the ousting of democratically elected president, Mohammad Mursi, in July and a military crackdown on his supporters and members of the Muslim brotherhood.
