Four rockets launched Monday from across the border in Syria hit Lebanese eastern region of Hermel, a security source said.
"Four rockets launched from inside Syrian territory hit separate areas of the town of Hermel," which lies some 10 kilometers from the border with Syria, said the Lebanese source.
"One of the rockets landed near an army barracks without any damage," Al-Manar correspondent reported.
There have been no reports of casualties, he added.
Hermel and other border areas of Lebanon have suffered frequent shelling since during the last months. Monday's is the latest in a string of cross-border rocket attacks that have recently escalated.
Since the eruption of the Syrian conflict in 2011, Lebanese towns in the North and the Bekaa regions have repeatedly witnessed shelling and gunfire coming from Syria, wounding many people and causing major material damage.
