At a ceremony for the presentation of credentials by the ambassadors of foreign states, Putin said his remarks, Itar-Tass reported.
He noted that Russia is a consistent supporter of “the diplomatic work, persistent negotiations” in international affairs.
“It is very important that in the most difficult situation around Syria, it is this approach that has been widely understood and supported by most countries,” Putin added.
He said that “crises settlement ways should be sought only on the basis of the UN Charter provisions.”
