The Israeli disappointment at the US stances towards Iran and Syria matched that of the Saudis, Israeli outlets reported.
According to the Zionist media which reported NYT, the US Secretary of State John Kerry failed to persuade the Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and the Saudi FM Saud al-Faisal that US will not back down before Tehran.
The media sources mentioned that Kerry stressed the necessity of adopting diplomacy in dealing with Iran and that Netanyahu demanded tightening the sanctions against Tehran.
The Israeli PM attempted to link his approval of any solution to a "satisfying" one for the Palestinian, according to Zionist sources.
For his part, Kerry congratulated Netanyahu and the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas for their "courageous" decision to return to the negotiation table.
