During a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu, Zebari considered that no preconditions must be set to hold Geneva II.

The Iraqi top diplomat said that his country did not attend "Friends of Syria" conference because it believes that the Syrians themselves must discuss the strategic issues that define their destiny.

Zebari also a pointed out that Geneva II conference must be attended by all the regional countries.

For his part, Davutoglu also emphasized the necessity of adopting the peaceful track to end the Syrian crisis, adding that all the regional countries must attend Geneva II.

Zebari and Davutoglu asserted that their countries aim at strengthening the mutual relations on all levels.

Zebari's trip to Turkey, which came in response to his counterpart's invitation, will last two days.

It is worth to mention that the Turkish Turkish Ahmet Davutoglu is expected to visit Iraq next month.
