Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Sunday that G5+1 and Iran will work on the basis of serial and interoperability, pointing out that this principle has become the cornerstone of negotiations.
"Long and specific negotiations took place .. but the time was not wasted .. everybody agrees on the bases for joint action to determine the criteria collectively in order to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue on the basis of fulfilling commitments mentioned in IAEA and the Security Council resolutions," Lavrov told reporters following the end of negotiations.
Lavrov added that negotiations will continue and foreign ministers have agreed that the work will be serial and harmonic, indicating that this principle has been raised by the Russian side for a long time and has been adopted as the basis for preparing the joint document between 3+3 and Iran.
The Russian minister pointed out that "our ultimate goal is to secure the full implementation of Security Council resolutions and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)," elaborating that an agreement has not been reached on all items, but everyone has the intention to work constructively.
"I want to refer to the key role played by the U.S. delegation headed by John Kerry for marketing the appropriate approach to Iran," Lavrov said.
