Lebanese army units stationed near Arsal, arrested eight Syrians armed with light weapons, assorted ammunitions and hand grenades while apparently trying to infiltrate into the country, Yarzeh-based Army Command/Guidance Directorate, disclosed Saturday.

Also and, in an unrelated arrest, an Algerian national was apprehended for lack of residency permit. He was handed over along with the Syrians to the authorized court of law in order to do the necessary, Army Command concluded.
