UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon announced Monday that he expected to open Geneva II conference for peace in Syria by mid-December.
Ban Ki-moon told the press that "I cannot announce a date at the moment, but our goal is mid-December," he said, explaining that the UN-Arab League envoy to Syria Lakhdar Brahimi will try to determine that date during the meeting with Russian and American representatives on 25 November.
