Three suspected al-Qaeda militants were killed in a drone strike in eastern Yemen on Tuesday, Reuters said, citing residents and a local official.

The militants were hit by a drone when they were traveling in a car in the Ghail Bawazeer area of Hadramout province, 45km from the provincial capital, Mukalla.

Earlier this month, two air strikes killed five suspected Al-Qaeda fighters in the southern province of Abyan.
