The fake identity cards used by suicide attackers behind Bir Hassan blasts targeting the Iranian embassy were released on Thursday evening.
The local channel, OTV, showed the attackers IDs saying that the security forces were trying to examine the pictures on them to determine whether they are real or fake.
This comes as security forces embarked on searching the hotel where they stayed on their last night.
Media reports said a suspect linked to Jnah blasts has been arrested and investigations were underway in order to reveal all details of the attack and the identity of the suicide bombers as images of him were captured by surveillance cameras at the scene of the crime.
The existence of the suspect was uncovered after the discovery of telephone calls that he made soon after the blasts.
A security source told As-Safir newspaper Friday that investigators are almost certain that the suicide bombers are not Lebanese and that they have arrived to Lebanon from Jordan, but this didn’t mean they were necessarily Jordanians.
Military Prosecutor Saqr Saqr said Thursday that fingerprints taken from the hotel room where the attackers stayed were being analyzed, describing this measure as “the most significant step.” In addition, clothes belonging to the bombers were gathered and will be used to collect DNA samples.
