The Bahraini official who is the only diplomat of the Persian Gulf neighboring state in Iran was summoned by the Director General of Iranian Foreign Ministry for Middle Eastern and Persian Gulf states on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the Iranian foreign ministry official voiced grave protest over baseless allegations against Iran by Bahrain.

The Iranian official stressed that the country has the right to retaliate Bahrain's measure and criticized Manama's wrongful approach towards popular demands and protestors.

"Deployment of foreign military in Bahrain not only does not help resolve the crisis, but also has made regional situation and Bahrain's domestic circumstance more complex," the Iranian official continued.

"The measure (unfounded allegations against Iran) by al-Khalifa dynasty aims at laying the blame on other countries and overshadowing inhumane measures of Bahraini government against defenseless people," he noted.
