The security and economic development are inseparable elements, he said, noting that Iran views its relation with the regional states from this perspective.
The UAE foreign minister, for his part, referred to the new horizons for bilateral ties and said, “We do not remain content to the fact that we are neighbor with Iran but we wish to be its partner.”
Sheikh Abdullah said that there are numerous opportunities for mutual cooperation.
“We were always Iran’s partner but today, we want to be a stronger partner than before.”

He acknowledged the efforts made to reach an agreement with Group 5+1 in Geneva.
The two foreign ministers also discussed the latest developments in the region, Syria and Afghanistan in particular.
As to the Syrian and Afghan issues, they also agreed that the only way for the settlement of problems is diplomatic means.
