The northern city of Tripoli witnessed on Sunday heavy clashes between the rival neighborhoods of Jabal Mohsen and Bab al-Tabbaneh, as the death toll rose.

The northern city of Tripoli witnessed on Sunday  heavy clashes between the rival neighborhoods of Jabal Mohsen and Bab al-Tabbaneh, as the death toll rose.

Media reported that clashes resumed in the morning just few hours after the fight was subsided at dawn.

The fight intensified furing the day and it was not stopped in the evening.

National news agency reported that ten people have been killed as fight erupted along the various traditional axes in Tripoli.

Meanwhile 35 others were injured including 13 Lebanese army soldiers.
The agency added that rocket-propelled grenades and Energa were used in the fight.

Schools announced it will close on Monday as the security situation is deteriorated in the city.
