Syrian Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mekdad said there were operations rooms in Jordan in which experts and military personnel from the Israeli Mossad, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the US and some European countries operate along with some leaders of armed groups fighting the Syrian government.
In an interview with al-Mayadeen TV, Mekdad said Mossad signed an agreement with some terrorist groups in Syria in which these groups pledged to protect Israel's borders.
He said that talks were held with Jordanian officials on the need for Jordan to commit to both countries' security, as Jordan can't be safe as long as it allows extremists to operate in it, adding that the same goes for Saudi Arabia.
Mekdad stressed that there is a lot of evidence that Israel is supporting terrorists in Syria, including the fact that Israeli weapons and equipment were found with terrorists, and that injured terrorists are treated in Israeli hospitals.
He asserted that Saudi Arabia is the largest supporter of takfiri terrorists in Syria and is directly responsible for the shedding of Syrian blood, motivated by unreasonable hatred, noting that the recently-unveiled Israeli-Saudi alliance is a natural extension of the harmful Saudi role in the region.
Talking about Geneva 2 conference which is aimed at ending the current conflict in Syria, Mekdad said Damascus has reservations on the participation of terrorist groups involved in shedding Syrian blood.
He stressed the need for ending the crimes of Al Qaeda against Syrians and restoring security and stability to the region, asserting that the Syrian government will go to Geneva 2 without preconditions, restrictions or foreign interference, with Syrians holding talks and eventually resulting in a national unity government.
The Syrian official said the Syrian delegation which will go to Geneva will carry instructions and directives from President Bashar al-Assad, and that all solutions be reached will be subject to his agreement as he represents Syria's sovereignty and unity.
