Lebanese Army was pursuing a rented car which took part in the assassination of Hezbollah commander, martyr Hassan Lakkis.
In a statement issues by the Army Command’s Guidance Department, the military institution urged rental companies “to immediately report about a car carrying a rental office plate which took part in a terrorist act on Lebanese territories on the night of 3/12/2013.”
It asked of car rental companies to report about a car that has been rented recently as communication has been lost with said customer.
The communiqué also requested from gas and washing stations to report on any car which was washed at their site either today or yesterday, with traces of mud left in it.
Meanwhile, the army command called on owners of car rental companies to obtain from customers copies of their authentic personal documents and photographs belonging to them.
Martyr commander Hassan Lakkis was assassinated on Tuesday night (November 3), in front of his home in St. Therese-Hadath while he was on his way back from his work.
