Pakistan Bomb Kills Two, Wounds Fifteen in Karachi

A bomb blast targeting police in Pakistan’s largest city of Karachi killed two people and wounded at least 15 others on Friday.

The bomb injured a policeman as it destroyed his vehicle and damaged the front of his house in the city's eastern neighborhood, police added.

"Two people were killed and 15 wounded. One Police officer also sustained injuries," Pir Mohammad Khan, a senior police official told media outlets.

One of the injured is a policeman.

Muqaddas Haider, another senior police official said it was believed that the bomb was a timed-device.

Police are currently involved in an operation aimed at cleansing Karachi of terrorists and other hardcore criminals including hired killers, gun runners and drug peddlers.
