An Iraqi security source said that fierce clashes erupted between the Iraqi army, which used helicopters, and ISIL terrorists, western city of Ramadi, without identifying the two sides' losses.
An Iraqi military source also reported that the Iraqi army destroyed a military camp for al-Qaeda, noting that the Iraqi troops have started a campaign to storm it.
The Iraqi National News Agency quoted a security source saying that a senior army officer of 23 Brigade, affiliated to Army Division 17, and three officers and two soldiers were killed in mortars attack on their barracks in Abu Ghraib area, west of Baghdad.
